It was a warm sunny day in July and 6-year-old
Stephen was sitting on the deck of his grandparents’ home at the lake. He,
his parents, and big brother Jonathan, were spending the week-end with
grandma and grandpa.
Stephen stood watching his grandpa parking the pontoon
boat to the dock.
Grandpa saw Stephen standing on the deck and called to
him, ”Stephen, want to go fishin with me?”
“Yeah,” yelled Stephen. He had just gotten his
first fishing pole and tackle box for his birthday from grandma and grandpa
and had been begging to go fishing with grandpa. He was excited.
He ran into the house to grab his pole and tackle box and get permission
from his parents to go with grandpa.
“Sure, you can go, but behave and mind what grandpa tells you to do.”
said dad.
